Job Description:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to the team.
  • Drive technical decisions and enforce best practices.

The successful candidate will oversee the entire software development lifecycle from planning to deployment.

They will collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities include conducting code reviews and ensuring coding standards are met, designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable software architectures, and evaluating and recommending tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.

Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining technical documentation, working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, facilitating effective communication between the development team and other departments, and ensuring alignment between the technical direction and the business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or masters degree; or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in software application development, deployment, and integration.
  • Strong application development knowledge of any of the following technologies: Python, JavaScript, React, PHP, Android (Kotlin/Java), Swift, Kafka, MongoDB.
  • Engineering practice experience such as code refactoring, design patterns, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application security, secure coding practice.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT, CI/CD concepts, and toolchains.
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
