  • Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions using our accounting system and maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
  • Inventory Management: Prepare sales, purchases, and stock adjustment entries at month-end closing, as well as weekly reconciliation of purchases transactions and stock adjustments transactions.
  • Fixed Assets: Review monthly depreciation entries, record additions during the month, and record disposals during the month.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Prepare supplier reconciliations for both trading and non-trading suppliers.
  • Timely Processing of Invoices: Ensure timely processing of invoices for Accounts Receivable and payments for Accounts Payable.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies, monitoring cash flow and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Compliance: Support ensuring compliance with accounting principles (IAS & IFRS) and regulations.
  • Auditing: Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Review and Approval: Review invoices and payment requests for proper authorization and expenses coding.
  • Accruals and Prepayments: Help with accruals and prepayments of expenses and prepare month-end adjusting journal entries.
  • Historical Records: Create historical records by payment voucher and document all accounts payable transactions.
  • Controls: Maintain controls over all supporting documents of payments.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in Google Suite tools like GDoc, GSheet, GSlides, GForms, etc., and able to handle high-volume spreadsheets.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics accounting ERP and IFRS standards is an added advantage.
