We are seeking an accomplished PostgreSQL specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of robust data solutions.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Administer, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases to guarantee optimal performance and security.
• Tune PostgreSQL database performance, manage storage allocations, and optimize queries to maximize efficiency.
• Develop and implement data backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with application teams to ensure seamless database access and integration with software applications.
• Monitor database health and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
• Stay up-to-date with PostgreSQL advancements and industry best practices, proposing relevant upgrades and modifications.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on PostgreSQL.
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, including indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL for advanced querying and stored procedures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL replication, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted PostgreSQL databases and related tools (e.g., AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL) is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex database-related issues.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
