Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Senior Director to lead our IT strategy and drive innovation in technology leadership. This role involves managing technical teams, delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

About the Role

The Technical Senior Director will be responsible for conducting analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, governance, and management of the structural and decision-making framework to align IT strategy, plans, and systems with the company's mission, goals, structure, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise Across Domains: Proficiency in infrastructure management, cloud services, cybersecurity, software, and platforms development is required. The leader must stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in these areas to guide the technology department effectively.
  • Translating Business to Technical: Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications is essential. Close collaboration with business stakeholders is necessary to ensure that technology solutions align with business goals and deliver value.
  • Strategic Planning and Road Mapping: Developing comprehensive plans and roadmaps for the technology department that align with the organization's strategic objectives is crucial. This includes setting short-term and long-term goals, prioritizing projects, and allocating resources efficiently.
  • Team Management and Leadership: Leading, managing, and mentoring diverse technical teams, ensuring high performance, continuous learning, and career development is vital. Fostering a collaborative culture that encourages innovation and excellence is also important.
  • Negotiation and Vendor Management: Strong negotiation skills to work with vendors, partners, and other external parties are necessary. Negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and ensuring that vendors deliver services and products that meet the company's standards and needs is key.

Salary and Benefits

This position offers an estimated annual salary of $250,000, depending on experience and location. Additional benefits include a comprehensive health insurance package, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, software development, and platform development.
  • Experience in strategic planning, developing technical roadmaps, and executing projects that align with business objectives.
  • Proven track record in leading technical teams, mentoring staff, and creating a productive and positive work environment.
  • Ability to understand business models and strategies, communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing vendor relationships, contracts, and performance.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing business and technology landscapes and solve complex problems through innovative solutions.
  • 15+ years minimum experience in TELCO IT services management field, with Mobile VAS/content services.
  • Start-up experience, particularly with X-Telecom, and a strong IT background.
