Job Summary

Action Against Hunger Action Contre la Faim - ACF seeks a highly experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Country Director. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned leader to drive business development and manage emergency programs in the humanitarian sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and expansion in the country
  • Lead and manage a team of senior field coordinators and deputy country directors to achieve program objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional and private donors to secure funding
  • Collaborate with national and international NGOs to establish and maintain partnerships
  • Ensure effective management of resources, including budgeting and financial reporting
  • Develop and implement climate change and gender sensitive programming initiatives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the country team to drive change management and improve program outcomes

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, international development, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position, with a proven track record of success in business development and emergency program management
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience working with institutional and private donors, with a strong understanding of funding mechanisms and requirements
