Job Title:

Data Warehouse Database Administrator


Description Our organization is seeking a seasoned data warehouse database administrator to lead our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of our data warehouse environment ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security. You will collaborate with architects, ETL developers, and stakeholders to meet our reporting and analytics needs. The ideal candidate should have experience in data warehousing and database administration, particularly with DWH technologies. Solid understanding of database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata is required. Expertise in ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts is also essential. Additionally, proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL scripting for data manipulation and reporting purposes is necessary. Problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities are crucial for success in this position. Relevant certifications in data warehousing or database technologies are an asset.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data warehousing and database administration, with focus on DWH technologies.
  • Strong expertise in database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata.
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization in a data warehousing environment.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is beneficial.
  • Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL scripting for data manipulation and reporting purposes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications in data warehousing or database technologies are an advantage.
