Under the overall management of the CBR Manager, the Project agent supports the overall implementation of the community-based rehabilitation activities in project locations.


Reports to:
Project Manager-CBR

Interacts Internally with:
Referral officer, Project Officer & Supervisor, Support team "HR, MEAL, Logistics, Finance.

Interacts Externally with:
CBR Volunteer, HI partners.

Responsibilities

Responsibility 1:
To support the project planning, implementation and monitor the project activities by ensuring all processes and procedures related to cash are implemented correctly

Objective:
Ensure cash payment, Advance request and closure are completed with respect to finance and donor procedures

Benchmarks:
Payments anticipated and completed on time.

Activities:

  • Contributes to the organization and planning of project activities under the responsibility of his/her N+1;
  • Anticipate payments and prepare cash request from Finance department.
  • Support the project team to understand and apply correct procedures related to cash handling.
  • Ensure all required documents are attached; calculations are correct, appropriate approvals are in place before proceeding to any payment. In addition to Ensure validity of all supportive documents before making payments.
  • Organize, support and follow-up cost calculation process in collaboration with the project officer.
  • Facilitates the link between HI and local authorities if needed;
  • Supports or facilitates the referral of beneficiaries to suitable structures and/or appropriate persons;
  • Contributes to the planning of its activities and weekly movements in the intervention area;
  • Regularly collects data on the implementation of its activities;
  • Contributes to the implementation of the accountability mechanism and post-activity monitoring activities of the project.
  • Supports the other projects in its base/area in the implementation of their activities;
  • Ensure the proper use of material resources in its activities.
  • Conduct regular focus group discussions to collect feedback about the equity fund process, and management.
  • Archive all documents related to the cash payments

Responsibility 2:
Support the management of project files and data

Objective:
Ensure proper data management and follow-up.

Benchmarks:
data is being followed and archived correctly.

Activities:

  • Participate in meetings, team debriefing and workshops organized by the project;
  • Collects data related to the different activities and transmits them to his/her N+1 on a regular basis;
  • Support the CBR volunteers to collect the quality data.
  • Ensures the protection of beneficiary and partner data; (Share the CBR sequence code with the Volunteers and make sure the accuracy of coding)
  • Contributes to internal and external reports;
  • Collects and conducts testimonies from beneficiaries and partners on the basis of the HI framework;
  • Participate in the improvement of the project tools he/she uses;
  • Contributes to the identification of good practices and the capitalization of the project in conjunction with his/her line manager and the Monitoring-Evaluation-Accountability-Learning (MEAL) department.
  • Monitor the database that is shared from CBR volunteer and share it with MEAL team. In addition to follow up with the comments from IM on the data quality checks.

Responsibility 3:
Participate in the planning and implementation of project activities

Objective:
Ensure the proper implementation of the project activities.

Benchmarks:
All the project activities are implemented within the project time frame.

Activities:

  • Participate in the planning and implementation of project activities according to the budget dedicated, the agreed work plans, and in respect of internal standard procedures.
  • Participate in lesson learning analysis and s, identification of good practices for the project.
  • Participation in internal coordination (and other) meetings upon request from the line manager.
  • participate in requesting all the needed PSRs by using LINK software.
Confidentiality is required in all these responsibilities.

This job description is flexible and the Project agent may have additional objectives set by the project manager and the direct supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the project

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE will have:
Finance or computer science background.
Minimum 4 years' experience in team Management Analytical skills
Ability to work with partners, civil society organizations, or public authorities
Skills in users centered approach and center-based rehabilitation
Knowledge of referral mechanisms
Ability to respect deadlines and work under pressure
Very positive personality, with strong orientation toward solutions
Adaptability, flexibility
Autonomy in work
Excellent communication skills Proactive, solution maker, strongly positive, constructive and dynamic personality

Preferable

Experience with HI and/or knowledge of its fields of action and approaches is considered an asset
Fluent in English

Initial contract will be for a period of 9 months and the position is based in Amman

Basic salary range for the position : From 972 JOD to 1 092JOD based on relevant experience.
