About the RoleThe Infrastructure Engineer will provide support and assistance to the Project Coordinator in supervising and implementing project activities to ensure the highest performance standard for flood mitigation at the downstream area of Al-Wehadi Dam Ma'an.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and monitor the construction of interventions in accordance with work plans, regulations, and design specifications.
- Assist with writing engineering specifications of projects and perform calculations and engineering evaluations.
- Implement construction methodologies and recommend the best options.
- Review and design drawings, specifications, and BOQ for all project interventions.
- Collaborate with the construction coordinator to eliminate hazards associated with the work.
- Assess the quality of materials according to defined standards.
- 2 or more years of full-time technical or professional experience in civil engineering projects.
- Experience in supervising and dealing with 30+ workers.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Water and Environmental Engineering.
- Experience in implementation and construction details of Gabion, reinforced concrete retaining wall, riprap, and drainage capacity improvement activities.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office software, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Auto CAD and Arc-GIS.
- Excellent reporting skills.
- A good team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
95% field work, 5% office based.
Language Requirements- Good written and spoken English required.
