Senior Project Manager

The King Hussein Foundation/ Institute For Family Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of a project.

Job Purpose:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all project activities, ensuring the successful completion of the project, and maintaining effective communication with the donor and field staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and allocate project resources, including staff, budget, and equipment.
  • Create detailed work plans and log frames to ensure project success.
  • Oversee all project activities and serve as the main contact point for the donor and field staff.
  • Submit regular activity reports, meeting minutes, and financial reports to the donor.
  • Present the Institute in working groups, task forces, and coordination meetings.
  • Prepare and submit annual activity-based project budgets and monthly/quarterly financial reports.
  • Ensure effective use of project resources, adhering to Donor policy.
  • Manage project budget, including phased budgets, monthly budget forecasting, and quarterly budget revisions.
  • Develop project Monitoring & Evaluation and indicator tracking plans, with support from the MEAL team.
  • Perform other tasks and obligations assigned by the line manager, within the area of expertise.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in management or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Relevant professional experience in managing large-scale projects.
  • PMP or PMD Certificate is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Good awareness of humanitarian and international institutions' laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in multicultural environments, understanding development and community engagement projects.
  • Experience with computer software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
Language Requirements:
  • Excellent English and Arabic communication skills (both oral and written).
