Job Title: Mental Health Case Manager FSR # 556

Location: Irbid Al Sareh Clinic

Job Summary

The Mental Health Case Manager at International Medical Corps work as part of a multidisciplinary team and within a case management model using a biopsychosocial, multidisciplinary and a community-based approach. They are frontline workers providing mental health case management and other relevant services for people with MHPSS needs.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities 


Monitor on-going care plan development with special attention to safety issues and stabilizing the family from the effects of domestic violence.
Establish long-term goals in case planning, which can include family stability.
Remain up to date with professional development opportunities.
Establish short-term goals and include steps to address safety and immediate family stability.
Ensure that all care plan activities have timelines and support services.
Coordinate the provision of social services to patients, families, and significant others to enable these parties to deal with the impact of illness on individual family functioning and to achieve maximum benefits from mental healthcare services.
Serve as a client Advocate.
Enhance a collaborative relationship to maximize the client and family’s ability to make informed decisions.
Conduct review for appropriate utilization of services from admission through discharge/termination.
Work within a multidisciplinary team, and actively participate in case conferences.
Evaluate client satisfaction and quality of care provided.
Ensure involvement of local authorities, community leaders, and community groups in creating community networks, which increase access to better health and social services for vulnerable population.
Contribute to the case management file, including assessments, treatment plan and quality assurance measures as decided by IMC and client functioning scale.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management staff as required; contribute to donor reports and internal IMC reports as required.
Evaluate client satisfaction and quality of care provided.
Offer direct therapeutic support for clients referred.
Perform other job-related duties as requested by Supervisor.


 Minimum Requirements:


Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social work, counseling or any related field.
Must have at least 2 years of experience in the field of MHPSS.
Priority will be given to candidates with similar role experience as MH case managers.
Proficiency in Arabic and English is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft office. Advanced skills in MS office are a plus.
Priority will be given to candidates residing in Irbid or near locations.
